"It had been several years since I had an eye exam and my vision was getting progressively worse. I genuinely fear optometrists like others fear dentists. Upon a recommendation of a friend I went to Dr. Bababekov for an exam. Let me tell you, just entering his practice put me at ease. It is clean, modern and warm. Far from what I remember as a child. The exam was perfect and I knew I was dealing with a true professional. He made his diagnosis, and together he helped me pick out some frames which I love. I was so pleased with the service that I actually took a few of his business cards and when the topic of eye care has come up in conversation with my friends and colleagues I did not hesitate to hand them his contact information. "I had an appointment scheduled with Dr.B. However, a few days before that, I woke up and knew something was very wrong with my eye. Not only was it red and swollen, but it was also very sensitive to light. I called Dr.B to tell him my symptoms and he told me that he could squeeze me into his schedule immediately. When I got there, he examined by eyes thoroughly and discovered that I had keratitis--and infection of the cornea that could lead to blindness if not diagnosed and treated immediately! He knew exactly what medication to prescribe me, and hours later, my eye improved dramatically. However, that is only the beginning!
I also told Dr.B that my contact lenses had been irritating me lately. He quickly determined that it was due to a stigmatism in each of my eyes. We tried many different types of contacts that failed, but Dr.B refused to give up until, many appointments later, he found a type that I could tolerate. And, for days that I didn't feel like putting in contacts, he helped me pick out awesome glasses!
In conclusion, Dr.B is thorough, caring, knowledgeable....and funny :-)"

"Dr. B has a warm atmosphere at his office, and has a great sense of humor while giving a thourough eye exam...just to make sure you don't have another boring one. He's professional but with a personable touch; Dr. B cares for your concerns and explains everything. He told me that my prescription was a bit off, and also gave me way better contacts (with astigmatic correction) than the ones I had before. "My dad found this place called 1 on 1 Eyecare in Roslindale...he checked it out from the outside then came home and told me about it. I personally never heard of this place before so I became curious about it and so my dad and I decided to check out the place from the inside. I have to say that the place is small BUUUUT it has sooooo many diferent styles of eyeglasses you can try on and choose from! Plus Dr. B was so helpful to both us (since we ended up with 3 favorite frames and couldn't make up our minds) by helping pick the best fit for my dad (he didn't try to sell them to us, he tried to help us out by picking out the best ones and that's what makes Dr. B special) . The glasses were ready within a week and it didn't end there....I brought my 2 younger sisters over the following week to have their eye exams done by Dr.B too! I'm up next for an eye exam myself. So hopefully you get my point ( if not then go check it out for yourself) when I say:" It all started with my dad and now the whole family is a fan of 1 on 1 Eyecare because it's exactly what we were looking for.
